At LIABLE CARS. SCO LTD, every vehicle we sell includes a 1-year warranty as standard. This policy gives you peace of mind by protecting key mechanical and electrical components from unexpected failure. Below is a detailed breakdown of what’s included and what’s not.
Clutch System
This warranty covers dual and single mass flywheels, automatic clutch packs, release bearing, clutch pressure plate, clutch actuator, and the master and slave cylinders. Burnout due to age, mileage, or aggressive driving is not covered.
Gearbox
Coverage includes gears, forks, shafts, oil pumps, valve bodies, bearings, gearbox casings, synchro hubs, governors, solenoids, brake bands, clutch packs, shafts, drums, dampers, chains, internal belts, springs, speedo drive, and the torque converter. Items that fail from age or wear are excluded. Gearbox oil must be properly maintained.
Engine
Covered parts include camshafts, pistons, piston rings, gudgeon pins, bearings, crankshaft, shells, con rods, cam belts, cam chains, sprockets, pulleys, inlet and exhaust valves, valve springs, rocker arms, tappets, cylinder head, balance shafts, crank pulley, vacuum pump, EGR valve, EGR cooler, supercharger, turbocharger, ignition coil, tensioners, governors, cam sensors, crank sensor, temperature sensors, lambda (O2) sensors, NOx sensor, knock sensor, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, EGR sensor, throttle sensor, oil pressure sensor, throttle body, intake manifold, swirl flaps, control valves, breather valve, solenoid control valve, vacuum control valve, and oil cooler. Auxiliary drive belts, brackets, mountings, tappings, supports, fastenings, and turbo failure due to carbonisation in vehicles over 10 years old or 100,000 miles are not covered.
Driveline and Differential
Warranty applies to wheel bearings, hubs, stub axles, axle, drive shafts, propshaft, propshaft bearings, support bearings, constant velocity joints, Haldex units, 4WD pump, 4WD solenoid, sensors, actuators, motors, planetary gears, spider gears, pinion gear, input pinion, crown wheel, bearings, casings, flange, transfer box, and universal joints. CV joint boots and gaiters are excluded due to wear and tear.
Suspension
This includes coil springs, leaf springs, shock absorbers, air compressor, air suspension valve blocks, directional valves, suspension height sensors, hydraulic pump, levelling sensors, pressure sensor, suspension airbags, anti-roll bar, torsion bar, hydraulic anti-roll bar drop links, bearings, lower arms, upper arms, trailing arms, control arms, tie rod, ball joints, panhard rod, and shackles or links. Failures caused by wear and ageing are not covered.
Steering
Warranty applies to the steering box, power steering rack, power steering pump, electric assisted racks, electric steering column, hydraulic assisted racks, hydraulic pump, check valve, relief valve, motors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, angle sensors, universal joints, steering column, inner tie rods, track rod ends, swivel hubs, and universal joints. Parts at the end of their normal working life are not covered.
Cooling System
We cover the water pump, thermostat, radiator, heater matrix, cooling fan, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, oil cooler, and intercooler. Failures due to rubber hose deterioration, foreign object damage, or leaks are not included.
Air Conditioning
Coverage includes the compressor, compressor clutch assembly, condenser, evaporator, dryer, heat exchanger, and pressure sensor. Air conditioning regassing is covered only when loss is caused by system failure, not by natural depletion.
Braking System
Warranty covers the ABS pump, brake servo, brake booster, vacuum pump, master cylinder, calipers, ABS control module, electronic parking brake control module, control switches, motor and actuator assembly, pressure sensors, radar sensor, wheel speed sensors, pedal box, compensation valve, metering valve, springs, cylinders, auto adjusters, handbrake cables, and handbrake lever. Wearable parts such as brake discs, drums, pads, linings, shoes, hoses, and pipes are not covered.
Fuel System
This includes the engine control module, fuel injection pump, fuel lift pump, fuel tank sender unit, throttle position sensor, throttle body, manifold absolute pressure sensor, mass air flow sensor, crankshaft position sensor, port deactivation valves, fuel rail, fuel rail pressure sensor, fuel pressure regulator, lambda sensors, injectors, pre-heater, return valve, fuel level sensor, temperature sensor, shut-off solenoid, overflow valve, and metering valve. Issues from contamination, misfuelling, and fuel filter blockages are not covered.
Electrical System
We cover repairs to the starter, alternator, ignition coils, front and rear wiper motors, washer pump motors, horn, key remotes and cards, electrical switches, window motors and regulators, central door locking actuators and latches, fuel flap solenoid, seat controls, heater fan motors, solenoids, actuators, all ECU units, instrument cluster, airbag system, pre-tensioners, parking sensors, indicator and wiper stalks, heating control switches and buttons, latch solenoids, clutch switch, accelerator sensor and pedal, level sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, and auxiliary heating system. Failures of batteries, wiring, bulbs, LEDs, fuses, and software updates are not covered.
In-Car Entertainment
We cover repair or replacement of factory-installed built-in entertainment and navigation systems, Bluetooth components, speakers, and control switches. Devices not factory-fitted, including portable satnav units, are not covered.
General Exclusions
The warranty does not cover any part that has reached the end of its working life due to age or mileage. It also excludes water ingress, exhaust systems, corrosion, seizure, pipes, hoses, unions, core plugs, bushes, decoking, air bags, seals, oil leaks, fixing and fastening devices, serviceable components, and any component making noise but operating normally. Foreign object damage and failure due to neglect are also excluded.
Servicing and Validity
To maintain this warranty, all servicing must follow manufacturer recommendations and be carried out by qualified technicians. All service history must be documented and made available upon request.
